Concrete Mix Ratio Calculator – Custom Proportions
Quality Inspector

Enter your total concrete volume and the specific mix ratio (Cement : Sand : Aggregate) to find the exact quantity of each material needed.
📐 Formula & Method
Multiply wet volume by 1.54 to get dry volume. Sum of ratio parts = C + S + A. Cement Volume = (C / Sum) × Dry Volume. Convert to bags by dividing by 0.0347.
Dry Volume = Wet Volume × 1.54
Sum of Parts = C + S + A
Material Volume = (Part / Sum) × Dry Volume
📋 Worked Example
For 1 m³ of wet concrete with 1:2:4 ratio: • Dry Volume = 1.54 m³ • Sum = 7 • Cement = 1.54 / 7 = 0.22 m³ ≈ 6.34 bags • Sand = (2/7) × 1.54 = 0.44 m³
❓ Frequently Asked Questions
It is the total of all ingredients in the ratio. For example, in a 1:2:4 mix, the sum of parts is 1 + 2 + 4 = 7.
Dry ingredients lose volume when water is added and voids are filled. 1.54 is the standard empirical constant used to convert wet volume back to required dry volume.
